This type of painting work has been included in the service of Lord Jagannath, Puri. A kind of painter caste serve to Sri Jagannath who are called, chitrakara whose generation are still practicing that art form hereditarily since today. They have been painting all art works accordingly to various festivals and puja's of the temple. Besides they prepare other various items of pattachitra like Yatripati, Paper mask, Wooden toys etc. To sale to foreign travellers and local devotees. It is a matter of pleasure that the pattachitra has been develop to be renowned within the last 50 years. It has taken the front stage among other traditional handicrafts items of India. In the field of art education pattachitra has develop a lot. The style of drawing the liner style and the style of finishing are so healthy i.e. attracts the attention of art lovers immediately. At present a number of art lovers are showing interest to learn and get training of the style of pattachitra, for them a book that simply depicts the various simple training method is required.
